The Mission of Lincoln Family Centers is:
  • To promote positive child development through effective parenting, early intervention and outreach,
  • To support and strengthen the family unit as the foundation of success for children,
  • To assure healthy development and healthcare for children,
  • To provide a seamless, comprehensive and easily accessible network of services for families, and
  • To encourage economic self-sufficiency for families through adult education, training and employment
Guiding principles
Guiding principles include prevention, community self-determination, avoiding the duplication of services, and providing easy access to an array of needed supportive services that will strengthen families and promote self-sufficiency.

The Lincoln Family Center is currently accepting applications for youth ages 6-12 for our Prep For Life FREE Summer Camp.

Monthly meeting for Board members, area residents, agencies and organizations in the community to promote and develop community based programs. Case Management
This program is designed to offer one-to-one and family counseling for individuals who reside in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. All cases are evaluated and handled according to their specific needs. We work to ensure the respective goals are met and our client's situations have stabilized.
Hours: Mondays through Fridays

Stars, Liddonfield After School Program & Holme
These after school programs provide a positive environment that offers academic, cultural and physical enrichment. Homework help and use of computers are also done on a daily basis. The students have special events, such as field day, special visitors and day trips. The programs are available to students 6 – 12 years of age and are on a first come first serve basis. All services are free.
Hours: Monday through Friday 3 – 6 PM

Youth Development Services
Girls Power and Boys Rule
Girls Power and Boys Rule are for 4th and 5th grade students of the Thomas Holmes Elementary School. The groups conduct discussions and activities including sports, arts & crafts and activities designed to build teamwork. Life Skill groups are also held at Swenson and Lincoln High Schools.
Ages: 4th and 5th graders
Hours: Mondays and Thursdays

Teen Team
In the attempts to provide services for our teen population we have developed a weekly education through recreation series entitled TEEN TEAM. TEEN TEAM is geared to provide job readiness, educational support and recreation to youth ages 12-18.

Time Out for Teens and Tots:
This is a 20-week program offering parenting education and support for teen parents to learn the basic parenting skills. The participants have the opportunity to meet other parents with similar challenges, gain understanding about child behavior and development and find community resources.
Hours: Thursdays 4 – 6 PM at Lincoln High School

Information and Referrals
LFC has staff dedicated to providing general information and/or referrals for any number of situations. We are prepared to provide assistance in various fields such as emergency food, clothing, furniture and/or shelter, medical care, substance abuse and family and group counseling.
Hours: Mondays through Fridays (8:30 am – 4:30 pm)


Career Link Access Point
The Lincoln Family Center is working with Team Pennsylvania Career Link as an access point. The mission of CareerLink Consortium is to provide high quality, cost efficient services to both employers and job seekers, and operate a world class, citywide, one-stop delivery system of neighborhood-based comprehensive centers, mini-centers, and access points.

Positives of Parenting Sessions (five locations)
This program gives parents an opportunity to share experiences about the challenges and successes of parenting in a non-judgmental environment. It also gives parents an opportunity to learn a host of skills that may come in handy when the relationship between parent and child is not what it should be. Each site offers a light snack, transportations, and childcare for those who attend. For parents who qualify, $100.00 will be forwarded to a utility of their choice.

  • Tuesdays from 1-3pm at Room 63, Holme School (address: 9125 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA. 19114) and at Swenson High School
  • Wednesday from 6 pm-7:30 pm at Health Center #10
  • Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Urban Bridges.
  • Thursday from 6-8 pm at Liddonfield Homes.
